Your mountain guides office in Chamonix offers you in wintertime: ski touring, the famous « Vallée Blanche » or the privilege of skiing Mont-Blanc.



For skiers who already have experience in ski touring and who practice off-piste skiing. A good physical condition is recommended to enjoy to the most these tours.

2 different tours offered:

- Ski touring around the Grand Saint-Bernard hospice (Switzerland) -> quite easy tour, a good way to discover touring over several days in a historical site. (see program)

- Ascent of the Grand Paradis (Italy) -> A fairly technical route for experienced ski tourers, with a 4000 meters summit to reach! (see program)

Even more than a day trip, the 3 days tours will allow you to really get into the mountain's world. With these two different tours, Sensations offers you the possibility to live this unique experience in the best conditions. Don't miss the opportunity!

Grand Paradis program

Grand Paradis combines beautiful landscapes and the exhilaration of reaching the top of a 4000 metre summit.

Day 1 : Drive from Chamonix to Pont in Val Savaranche where chamois and ibex are often seen grazing. We'll hike up a steep trail in a beautiful larch tree forest up to gentler slopes which will lead us through pastures to the Victor Emmanuel hut (2732 m)
Ascent: 770 m

Day 2 : From the hut, we'll ski up to Tresenta (3608 m) which offers a beautiful viewpoint on Grand Paradis and Ciarforon before skiing back down to the hut. Ascent: 876 m ; Descent: 876 m


Day 3 : Round trip ascent to Grand Paradis: a traverse leads to the Grand Paradis glacier. We'll follow its regular incline till the Lavaciau glacier and the Becca di Moncorve pass (3875 m). From there, the slope gets steeper and we'll climb the summit ridge with rope and crampons. From the top of Grand Paradis, a beautiful outlook on the French, Italian and Swiss Alps, we'll ski down the same route back to the hut, then down to Pont and drive back to Chamonix.
Ascent: 1350 m ; Descent: 1350 m + 770m


Grand Saint-Bernard program

Built by Saint Bernard, archdeacon of Aosta in the 10th century, the Hospice was made famous by the dogs which helped the monks in rescueing lost travellers.
After thousands of pilgrims, merchants, soldiers and travellers, you will be the one to cross the gates of this historic monument. It will be your base camp for the duration of the tour.

Day 1 : From the Bourg Saint Bernard ski area (elevation 1927 m) , we'll ride the cable car to an altitude of 2801 m. After a short descent to 2437 m, we'll hike up to Tête de Barasson (2687 m) and ski down to the Grand Saint Bernard Hospice (2469 m).

Day 2 : Ascent of Mont Fourchon ( 2902 m) and back to the Hospice.

Day 3 : Ascent of Pointe de Drone (2864 m) then back to Bourg Saint Bernard and transfer to Chamonix.
